800A GBT Connector For DC Fast Charger GBT 1000A 1000V Megawatt Charging System

The Megawatt Charging System (MCS) is a charging connector under development for large battery electric vehicles. The connector will be rated for charging at a maximum rate of 3.75 megawatts (3,000 amps at 1,250 volts direct current (DC).  A DC fast charger, also known as a Level 3 charger, is a high-power electric vehicle (EV) charging station that delivers direct current (DC) electricity directly to the vehicle’s battery. This method bypasses the vehicle’s onboard AC/DC converter, enabling much faster charging times compared to Level 1 or Level 2 AC chargers. DC fast chargers are ideal for situations where drivers need to quickly replenish their EV’s battery, such as on long trips or when time is limited.
