MIDA 480kW 800kW 1220kW Scalable Cabinet Design Split-Type DC Charging Station for Airport Shuttle Charging

Scalable Cabinet, Unchanged Dispensers
Airport charging demand never arrives complete. A new pier adds two bays, a route change adds a third, and the operator is left deciding whether to replace a cabinet or bolt on a second one. A scalable cabinet design answers that by reserving module slots and bus capacity up front: the dispensers, cable routes and civil works stay exactly where they were, and the power stage grows from 480kW to 800kW or 1220kW as the timetable demands. Planners start from a 360kW 600kW 720kW modular split DC charging station, a 360kW 480kW 600kW split-type DC charging system and a 600kW 960kW commercial split DC fast charging station and size the switchroom for the final figure.

From 480kW to 1220kW in One Footprint
The expensive part of a kerbside installation is not the rectifier, it is the trench, the duct bank and the traffic closure needed to open it. Keeping one cabinet footprint across the whole 480kW to 1220kW range means the second phase costs a module set and a commissioning visit rather than a civil contract. Metering, OCPP records and authorisation survive the expansion untouched, so billing continuity is never in question. Comparable builds include a 600kW 720kW OCPP CCS2 split DC charging system, a 480kW 600kW 720kW liquid-cooled split DC charger, a 720kW 900kW CCS2 GB/T split DC charging systems and a 360kW 600kW 800kW OCPP CCS2 modular split DC station.
