On March, 2024,  a prototype of MIDA’s 600 A TESLA plug was exposed, it has an output voltage of 200-1000V, a maximum output current of 600 A, and a maximum power of 600 kW. MIDA is not new to the EV chargers business, as we offer various DC fast chargers. However, with a charging power of 600 kW, this super-fast charger Tesla plug would currently be the highest-powered charging plug.  Compared to other manufacturers, the fourth-generation Tesla V4 Supercharger has the same maximum power output of 600 kW, while Xpeng Motors’ S4 supercharger has a maximum power output of 480 kW.

Can current EVs take such power?

Compared with the 800V ultra-high-voltage charging technology, increasing the voltage to 1000V may seem slightly improved, but it may not be easy to achieve regarding vehicle technical adaptation.

It is worth mentioning that MIDA already produces DC fast charger Connector CCS2 and CCS1 in 500A max liquid-cooled, GBT and Chaoji in 600A max with liquid cooling machine. Tesla 600A is still a new products, but will be more and more porpular. 

Ultrasonic Welding Technology

This technology can make the resistance of the EV tend to zero during the charging process, and reduce the phenomenon of heating up during the DC charging process of the EV.

The 600A Tesla connector has a number of safety features that protect against potential hazards such as overvoltage and overcurrent. These features include short circuit protection, ground fault detection, and temperature monitoring.

Physical design

The 600A Tesla Gun is an EV connector complies with the standard of IEC62196. The connector is compatible with AC and DC charging. Separate pins are used for each mode.
